(KMOV.com) -- A man accused of trying to assault officers will be the first Franklin County inmate to wear a stun cuff.
Jeffery Weinhaus’ trial began Tuesday. Last year, Missouri state troopers shot Weinhaus when they say he tried to draw a gun on them.
Weinhaus is known as the Bulletin Man, recording anti-government videos.
Last month, News 4 examined the stun cuff taser, that will be strapped to Weinhaus’ ankle during the trial.
If he acts out, deputies can activate the taser, sending 50,000 volts of electricity through him. The stun cuff cost the county $1,200.
