(KMOV) – The former mayor of Valley Park is again legal troubles after he was caught using someone else’s credit card.
Nathan Grellner was charged with identity theft after investigators say he took out a credit card using the name of his estranged wide.
According to court documents, he used the card to make purchases in excess of $500.
Grellner resigned as mayor of Valley Park in July, 2012 after missing virtually every city meeting for several months, after his arrest on driving while intoxicated charges the month before, and after it was revealed that he had racked up thousands of dollars worth of charges on the city’s Mastercard.
Grellner had claimed he confused the city credit card with his own and said most of the items had been returned. But he was charged with four felony fraud counts.
