(KMOV) –A man based out of England is facing prison time after he is accused of shipping altered and fake cancer drugs to doctors in St. Louis and across the country.
A judge sentenced Richard Taylor to 18 months in prison and $800,000 in fines.
The FDA discovered the cancer drugs were counterfeit after some were shipped warm when they needed to arrive cold. Some drugs arrived from Turkey and several patients had bad reactions to the cancer drug.
Taylor was also ordered to forfeit more than $3 million he profited from the drugs.
