(KMOV.com) -- The Edwardsville School District is facing a budget crisis.
Next school year, the district says it expects a $3 million shortfall, most of which is caused by the state of Illinois not paying the district.
The problem is nothing new for Edwardsville.
In the past five years, they have managed to successfully deal with about $12 million in shortfalls. But now, the district says they can no longer lose money.
