LAKE SAINT LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A woman remains hospitalized after her car and a Lake Saint Louis fire truck collided head-on Friday night.
Melonie Reeves, 39, was driving eastbound on Veterans Memorial Parkway near Interstate 70 when the vehicles crashed around 9:15 p.m. Reeves was airlifted to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Three firefighters were also taken to a hospital with minor injuries. One firefighter was treated and released after less than an hour. Fire officials said they were hospitalized as a precautionary measure.
A fire department spokesman says the fire pumper truck was returning to the fire house and did not have on its lights and siren.
Reeves' vehicle, a 2010 Ford Fusion, was totaled in the crash, while the fire truck sustained moderate damage.
The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
