(KMOV) -- Downed wires forced the closure of a major south St. Louis County road Thursday morning.
The incident happened on S. Lindbergh Blvd. near Baptist Church around 6 a.m.
Lindbergh Blvd. was closed in both directions while Ameren Missouri crews worked to fix the lines. The road was fully reopend by about 7 a.m.
Drivers at one point were being rerouted through the nearby Ronnie's 20 Cinema parking lot. Officials say about 15 people were without power while the wires were being repaired.
It was not immediately known what caused the wires to break.
