(KMOV.com) -- With students heading back to class in just a matter of days, area school districts are making sure their hired security officers are prepared to handle a crisis.
News 4 was there as they received special training to identify students who may be at risk.
The eight-hour training session happens prior to the start of the school year, and it included security officers from Parkway and St. Louis Public Schools.
Other crisis intervention training sessions will be held before the school year begins.
Districts who are interested may contact St. Louis County police.
