(KMOV) --  Area schools could soon impliment a high-tech security system that could save children during a school emergency.

A computer-networking service called “Cop-Sync 911” teachers can use in an event of a school emergency.

The system instantly contacts the five closest law enforcement officers.

Police officers can use the system to view maps of the building interiors while teachers give them real time updates of the possible situation.

One teacher said “personally, I don't think arming me with a gun is the answer. But the idea I can instantly communicate with officers nearby gives me that peace of mind I thought I had lost forever. "

The CopSync system is being offered to districts nationwide, costing $3.33 a day.
