ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Normandy students will be allowed to return to Clayton School District next year.

The Clayton Board of Education voted to accept the enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year of students residing within the jurisdiction of the Normandy Schools Collaborative who attended the School District of Clayton during the 2013-2014 school year.

The School District of Clayton enrolled 35 students from the Normandy School District during the 2013-2014 school year.

The “Operating Policy” also indicates that first-time kindergarten students who attended Clayton during the 2013-2014 school year as residents of the Normandy School District will be allowed to continue to enroll in Clayton for the upcoming school year.

“We believe that the Board of Education’s decision will provide continuity in the educational experience of the Normandy students who attended Clayton schools last school year and are eligible to return,” a statement released Thursday said.
