(KMOV) – A couple called Colombo after St. Louis County officials hit them with an expensive and unusual demand.

Denise and Lawrence Wohldmann moved to Woodson Terrace from New Mexico and were very pleased with their new home, including the double driveway. This gave them room for both vehicles and a trailer.

Soon after moving in, a city inspector came by and told them they had to remove the second driveway at their own expense within 30 days.

They called News 4’s Mike Colombo to get to the bottom of this surprise expense.
