(KMOV.com) – The St. Louis Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (CVC) told the St. Louis Rams Friday it is not in a position to spend $700 million to upgrade the Edward Jones Dome.
Earlier this year, arbitrators recommended the CVC adopt the Rams’ $700 million renovation plan for the dome after the two sides offered different proposals. Under the ruling, the CVC would have to pay for the project.
In a letter to the Rams, the CVC said it still wants to negotiate some sort of compromise. The lease with the CVC requires the Dome to be among the top eight stadiums in the NFL or the Rams leave St. Louis after the 2014 season,
