(FootballStL) -- What better way to help train a young group of wide receivers, than to bring in one of the greatest Rams receivers of all time as a tutor. Isaac Bruce, the Rams franchise leader in yards and receptions, has been in town over the last few days working with the Rams young receiving corp.
Bruce has been showing the young guys some of the finer points of receiving, like trying to break press coverage at the line of scrimmage, as well as running crisp routes. Bruce has spent time offering advice to top pick Tavon Austin, Brian Quick, Stedman Bailey, and Emory Blake.
Bruce's former teammate, Torry Holt, will also help the receivers later in training camp. "You know, it's just the subtle things, "said Head Coach Jeff Fisher. "It's just the little detail things from their perspective. We welcome both of those guys in as the young guys are concerned."
Fisher invited Bruce and Holt to camp, in hopes that two former stars can pass on some wisdom to his talented young group.
Bruce retired as a 4-time Pro Bowler, who amassed 15,208 yards which ranks 4th on the all-time receiving list. Bruce caught 1,024 passes and racked up 91 touchdowns during his 16 year career.
Meanwhile, Austin and Bailey are former West Virginia teammates who have played well during their first week of training camp.
