(KMOV.com)-- Brentwood city leaders say they need more time to decide if they'll fire the city's emergency dispatchers.

The Board of Aldermen and the mayor met Tuesday to consider a proposal from a firm that is offering to handle the communications for police and fire in Brentwood.

Currently the city employs seven full-time and four part-time dispatchers. The mayor says the Board will take its time to make a decision.
