Time magazine's 2014 list of the most influential people features more women than ever before with Beyonce leading the pack.
The music megastar landed the coveted cover of the annual issue, while Robert Redford, basketball player Jason Collins and GM CEO Mary Barra each have inside covers as well.
The Time 100 acknowledges the most influential people in the world across industries, from titans to pioneers to artists to leaders, and this year the list boasts a record 41 women. Some of the ladies who have been included include Amy Adams, Miley Cyrus and Kerry Washington.
Time tapped Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg - a.k.a., she who "Leans In" and encourages others to do the same - to explain Bey's reign of power.
"Beyonce doesn't just sit at the table. She builds a better one," Sandberg writes, referencing one of her messages to women on being successful in the workplace. "(Beyonce's) secret (to success is) hard work, honesty and authenticity. And her answer to the question, What would you do if you weren’t afraid? appears to be 'Watch me. I’m about to do it.' Then she adds, 'You can, too.'"
