(KMOV) – Authorities in a southern Missouri town discovered marijuana-laced candy during a recent drug bust.

The candy looked like regular lemon drops, gummy bears and mints. Although authorities say they’re laced with THC.

Several bags of the candy were found during a recent drug raid in southwest Missouri.

"Be really cautious of what their children are getting into in terms of candy. This could be a situation such as Halloween coming up, something that they really need to pay close attention to,” said Sheriff Mike Epperly of Berry County, Missouri.

Authorities said if this stuff gets in the hands of kids, it could cause serious heart and stomach problems.
