2 dead, 2 injured in Washington County car crash

(KMOV.com) -- A crash on Highway U in Washington County left two people dead and two others seriously injured early Sunday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette carrying the four victims was heading northbound on Highway U at 12:05 a.m. when it struck two unoccupied vehicles, one in the southbound lane and the other in the northbound lane. Both were stopped because of debris in the roadway.

Officials said passengers Steve Stark, 40, and Brandon Stark, 16, of Irondale were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, Ronald French, 32, of Irondale, was taken to Parkland Hospital by ambulance. The other passenger, Tina Lindsey, 34, of Desloge, were flown to Barnes Jewish Hospital. Both are in serious conditon.

The driver was not wearing his seatbelt, according to the Highway Patrol.
