(KMOV) -- A St. Charles County woman prayed for a good relationship and thought she found one on Christianmingle.com;  a place where singles search out "God's match for you."

Our victim found Roger, supposedly from California. For months they talked, never about money, but then Roger took a job oversees and his financial troubles began.

"At that point I already had strong feelings for him, and he really seemed to be in a bind, and I thought it was just going to be a onetime thing" the victim said.

A onetime thing that turned into over and over again. She sent $5,000, then $23,000, $27,000, $28,000 and then a whopping $48,000.

The money was wired to West Virginia, New York, Hong Kong, eventually Nigeria.

All told she is out more than $100,000.

"It makes me sick to my stomach, I mean that was my retirement account and now I don't have one."

She felt safe, partially because of the name of the website.

She thought God helped her find the perfect guy, instead he was nothing more than the perfect con-artist.
