ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Major developments have unfolded in a News 4 Investigation first reported Monday night.

Shaun Buckinghman of Mascoutah, Illinois is a computer whiz.  Immediately following the News 4 story about a St. Charles County woman allegedly being taken for more than $100,000 on a dating website, he started connecting dots.

The online sleuth felt terrible for our victim. The woman who was courted online by a guy she met through Christian Mingle.   The man sent her photos, and said his name was Roger. The victim claims the photos matched the man she chatted with online.

Eventually Roger needed money, and a lot of it.   Our victim thought he was in financial trouble oversees and made several wire transfers in excess of $100,000.

The money disappeared and so did Roger when communication was cut off.

After News 4 aired the man’s photos Monday night, Buckingham traced the pictures back to a man living in Canada.

Rodney Reynolds is all over the internet.

And according to his page, he's definitely not single.

Before News 4 had the chance to contact Reynolds for an explanation, he connected our newsroom through our Facebook page.  He said the photo is inappropriate and to please take it down.  He also said his name is Rodney, not Roger and that he's never registered on any dating sites or added anyone on Skype other than his friends and family.

We sent the video to our victim, she insists Rodney is the same man she Skyped with, but Rodney claims otherwise.

News 4 asked Rodney to call us and to consider an interview.  If he's also a victim of this international dating scam we want to give him an opportunity to explain, but we're still waiting for him to take us up on that offer.
