EUREKA, Mo. (KMOV.com) --Tuesday News 4 introduced you to a Eureka woman at her wits end with an alliance repairman.

Dana Kropp’s dryer hasn’t worked since late June and after paying almost $700 to fix it, it still doesn’t work. She called repairman Bill Mitchell of Lesco Appliance and Repair to come back and make sure it’s fixed, but all she has received are a string of broken appointments.

“I went away feeling this was going to be done in a couple days when the parts came in,” said Kropp.

Tracking down Mitchell was tricky. His old shop was closed and he didn’t answer News 4’s calls.

Mitchell’s former business partner told us Lesco Appliance and Repair went out of business last Friday and says Mitchell is now running his own company.

A day later, my search for Mitchell continued. But this time Mitchell found me, calling to say he dropped Donna Kropp’s check in the mail Wednesday morning.

It sounds like Kropp will have that money for a new dryer any day now. Sometimes you have to air someone’s dirty laundry so someone else can finally clean theirs.
