(KMOV) -- The rise in flu cases in the area has created a concern over one drug that is meant to help those patients.

Some area pharmacies are having trouble keeping Tamiflu in stock. St. Louis County Health officials say suppliers are keeping limits on the drug because of the high demand.

“We order our drugs everyday so we try and order Tamiflu everyday of the week from our wholesalers and keep it coming. Sometimes, they limit how many we can purchase a day and we’ll buy our maximum quantities and keep it coming in,” said Erin Collier, a pharmacist in Ladue.

County health officials say in the past two weeks, cases of Influenza A have spiked dramatically.
