(KMOV.com) – Some businesses are telling their employees to avoid checking their work email while they are not at work in an effort to increase workplace happiness and personal well-being.

The Washington Post reported Volkswagen is among the many companies trying out the policy.

For some people, it’s an addiction. They like to know what’s going on at all times so they can react with the right answer at the right time.

An advisor with an advisory board for a health and research service firm says being plugged-in all the time and using those plugged-in features during personal times could be bad.
