Doctors in St. Louis say it appears the Norovirus outbreak has finally reached our area.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, the strain started making people sick at the end of last year.
Doctors at Barnes-Jewish hospital are now seeing as many as 15 patients a day with the virus, which is contagious and does not have a vaccine to prevent it.
The illness often begins suddenly and can hit anyone.
It typically lasts one to three days and doctors say it’s very important to stay hydrated.
