(KMOV) -- Police will be making a woman’s driveway a “Halloween safety center” tonight in Uplands Park, Mo.

An Uplands Park woman was worried that due to the city’s money problems the town would not be getting proper protection this Halloween.

The woman decided to contact St. Louis County police and she offered them her driveway in the 3600 block of Ridgedale as a place to set-up.

“To make sure kids are safe in Uplands Park since they really don't have a police department right now so we're going to make sure we have patrols in Uplands Park and a safety center where we will give kids reflective tape for the costume and glow necklaces and certainly we will have some halloween candy for them as well," said St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch.
