(KMOV) – An Arizona woman was arrested after authorities allegedly found drugs in her car during a traffic stop in St. Charles County.

Karla Palacios, of Tempe, Ariz., was charged February 5 with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and delivering a controlled substance.

According to authorities, Palacios was pulled over for a stop on westbound Interstate 70 at mile marker 205. Deputies said during the stop the woman acted nervous, so the officer called in a K-9 unit.

That’s when the dog alerted deputies to the trunk. They searched it and found a kilogram of cocaine inside a cooler.

She later told authorities she was bringing the drugs to Arizona.

Her bail was set at $2,500.
