(KMOV.com) -- A man is in stable condition after being stabbed in north St. Louis.
Police said the victim, a 19-year-old male, was walking down Hamilton Avenue when he was approached by an unknown male.
The victim told police the suspect shoved him in the back, yelled an unknown name to the victim and fled from the scene.
According to police, the victim did not notice a stab wound until a relative noticed blood on his back.
The victim said he went to the hospital where doctors told him he had been stabbed between his should blades.
St. Louis Police are still looking for the suspect.
The altercation happened around 8 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Hamilton.
