WRIGHT CITY, Mo (KMOV.com) – Wright City police and Missouri Highway Patrol tactical officers surrounded a home during an hour-long standoff with a suspect inside.

Sources say police had gone to the home on Appaloosa way to arrest the 38-year-old resident for outstanding warrants related to methamphetamine production.

The suspect refused to come to the door, so police responded by setting up a perimeter around the house.

Authorities believed the suspect may have a number of weapons, and though he did not fire or display the weapons in any way, officers are treated the situation with extreme caution.

The suspect surrendered peacefully just after 4:30 pm.
