GODFREY, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- Madison County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a suspect who reportedly wore a suit and ski mask while robbing a convenience store in Godfrey, Ill. on Thursday night.
The robbery happened at a Casey's General Store in the 6300 block of Godfrey Road just before 10 p.m.
Clerks told police a man dressed in a suit had displayed a handgun and demanded money before fleeing the store. The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Authorities describe the suspect as a 6'1" to 6'2" black male, between the ages of 20 and 40, with an athletic build. He was reportedly wearing a grey suit, blue dress shirt, dark scarf, black-and-white tennis shoes and a ski mask at the time of the robbery.
