Last October, a fifth-grader walked into Keeven Elementary School with a gun in his backpack. Police say the gun was not loaded but there was a magazine with bullets recovered in the school.

A Hazelwood East custodian was found with guns in his vehicle on the high school’s parking lot in January.
Most recently, a student stabbed another student at Hazelwood Central High School in March. Both Students said they were playing around but the knives were also not supposed to be on the campus.
