(KMOV) – More viewers in the St. Louis-area continue to voice their concerns about accelerators that stick on cards made by Hyundai.
On Friday, News 4 covered a story about Sheila Price, whose Hyundai Sante Fe suddenly accelerated going down I-70 and hit 90 miles an hour before she was able to get it into neutral and stop.
Since then News 4 has heard from another St. Louis Hyundai owner who also experienced sudden acceleration.
The stories started after a 16-year old Texas boy was unable to stop or change gears when his car accelerated to 120 miles an hour before crashing.
News 4 has asked the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration why it didn’t take action by issuing a recall. We’ve been told they will soon get back to us.
