(KMOV.com) The City of St. Louis is preparing for temperatures to drop to dangerous lows.
Saturday , the Emergency Management Center will open to coordinate the city’s response to the winter storm. The city’s emergency preparedness plan includes having police check on homeless citizens throughout the night.
So far this winter, the city has served more than a thousand people in shelters.
In addition to shelters, the Centenary Baptist Church, located at 1610 Olive in downtown St. Louis, will be open on Sunday.
