ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – The St. Louis School District reversed its decision to expel a four-year-old from preschool on Wednesday evening.

The student was originally removed because he had missed too many days of class. His mother came to News 4 and explained, her son had been sick frequently this winter, and had also missed days because she was caring for another son who has cystic fibrosis.

"Very happy with the outcome, although I don’t think it had to come to this,” said Jackie Woody. “Very sad that Zachary had to go through this and although very pleased he will back in school getting ready for kindergarten it’s just something that could have been prevented.”
