(KMOV.com) -- More people are expected at a city hall meeting Wednesday to fight against roughly 175 acres of farmland that could soon turn into a land of big box stores and apartment buildings in St. Charles County.

Residents in Dardenne Prairie are determined to fight a move that would re-zone a major piece of property, saying the move would change everything.

They clashed with the mayor, Pam Fogerty, at last week’s Board of Aldermen meeting after she voted in favor of the re-zoning.

Residents tell News 4 even more people will go back to city hall for the planning and zoning meeting taking place Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
