(KMOV) – St. Ann police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted women at a local grocery store.

“He comes and says, ‘Ma’am you have something on your left leg,’ she falls for that, bends down, and he takes advantage of her,” said St. Ann Police Chief Jiminez. “It may not be that severe in another place, but who knows how this guy is sexually assaulting his victims.”

Police say that is how the suspect is luring his victims. In surveillance footage, police said he circles the store just before tricking a woman into bending over, then runs his hands down her thighs and legs.

Chief Jiminez said the police department is searching hard for the man who has already allegedly grabbed three women at the Shop N’ Save off St. Charles Rock Road.

“I’d turn around and bust him in the nose,” said one shopper. “That’s my reaction. People like that are just sick, sick, sick.”

“It has the potential to get worse,” said Chief Jiminez.

Officials are also telling residents to lookout for the suspect’s truck: A bluish, purple, pickup with chrome side panels.
