(KMOV) – Authorities are investigating after officials say a person may have been spotted with a weapon inside a building at Scott Air Force Base on Wednesday.
According to Lt. Fratini, a suspicious person was spotted with a possible weapon inside the Air Mobility Command building around 9:30 a.m.
Security forces went inside the building and said it was cleared by about 11 a.m. Officials say the base was on lockdown for about 90 minutes during the check.
It was not known if anyone was taken into custody.
An active shooter training was scheduled at the Air Mobility Command building later Wednesday afternoon.
