ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com)—A investigation in the bullying incident of 7-year-old Dakota Lamb has started according to St. Louis Police.
The police say juvenile detectives are investigating what happened on a school bus from St. Louis Charter School.
But St. Louis Charter School administrators say they only learned about the incident Monday night from KMOV.
Since then, administrators have been silent on the incident. Officials declined to talk in person or on the phone. The head of the school has exchanged emails with reporters, but only to say they have launched an investigation. The school says any student who was involved will be disciplined according to school policies.
Brianna Lamb says police have already determined who was responsible.
“They ended up finding the children that did do it and they spoke with the families,” she said. According to Lamb, there were three students involved, two of them 13 years old.
Because of the incident, Lamb is pushing for the school bus company to employ monitors on the bus to watch students.
