CREVE COEUR, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police say seven people chained themselves together in protest at the Arch Coal offices in Creve Coeur Tuesday morning.
According to reports, approximately two-dozen protestors were seen walking around the perimeter of the Arch Coal property.
Seven protestors managed to chain themselves together inside the Arch Coal offices.Officers from St. Louis County and Creve Coeur arrived on the scene around 11:30 a.m. to cut the chains off.
Officials said the protestors could be charged with trespassing.
The protestors said they are there because they do not agree with Arch Coal’s strip ming practices in Appalachia.
