COLLINSVILLE, Il (KMOV.com) – Interstate 55 in Collinsville was shut down Tuesday after a box truck hauling propane caught fire.
According to reports, the driver was forced to pull off the interstate near the intersection of Highway 157 around 5 p.m.
The driver was able to get out of the truck without injury. The fire reportedly burned for over an hour, producing smoke that could be seen for miles.
There's no word on what may have caused the fire.
