OLIVETTE (KMOV.com) – Nobody was severely injured after a car slammed into a police car with an officer inside on Tuesday afternoon.

Olivette Police say a vehicle slammed into an officer’s patrol car on I-170 just south of Olive Boulevard at 12:15 p.m. The officer was sitting in his patrol car after he had pulled someone over when the other vehicle hit the car.

According to police, the officer suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by Olivette Fire Department paramedics. He was later taken to a local hospital. The driver of the car who crashed into the officer was not hurt.
