(KMOV.com) – Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a north St. Louis man near a hot-spot neighborhood Thursday
Officers reported to the 2200 block of Adelaide for a report of shots fired at 6:40 p.m. to find a 34-year-old male victim laying the grass.
Upon further investigation, officers found the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds to the chest, arm and head. Police transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The College Hill neighborhood has seen an influx of crime over the last year, causing police to increase patrols and presence in this area.
Authorities working with this investigation have not released information on possible suspects at this time.
