FENTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police hope newly-released security camera photos will help them catch a woman who has used multiple stolen credit cards to rack up thousands of dollars worth of purchases  throughout the St. Louis area.

Police say the woman first stole credit cards earlier this month from a woman’s wallet at a Cracker Barrel shop in Fenton. She then made over $2,400 in charges to the credit cards at a Target store in the Gravois Bluffs shopping center.

Thirty minutes later, another $1,500 was charged at the Walmart across the street.

St. Louis County police on Friday said they believe she may have also used stolen credit cards in Shiloh, Illinois near Scott Air Force Base.

Authorities say the thief is a white woman in her 20s, with brownish to blonde hair, and medium height and weight.

Police say people have to be aware at all times because credit card thieves often move very quickly once they’ve nabbed a card.

“...We have many instances where they stop at the next gas station and they buy things right there, whether it be tickets, lottery tickets or food right there, spend as much as they can as quickly as possible,” said Randy Vaughn with the St. Louis County Police Department.

Police said the suspect left one of the scenes in a white, new model SUV. Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Louis County Police Department at (314) 889-2341.
