(KMOV) – Police have released photos of an ATV used to help rob a Collinsville bank on Friday.
Police said a man wearing camouflaged clothing and goggles drove up in an ATV and approached two tellers servicing the parking lot ATM of the First Collinsville Bank in the 2700 block of Maryville Road around 10:20 a.m.
Police say he told the bank tellers to move out of the way. He then removed canisters containing an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene. The suspect never displayed a weapon, police said.
According to witnesses, he was seen driving on Formosa north of W. Kirsch Rd. in Troy just before the robbery.
Police said the ATV used in the robbery was later found abandoned behind a home near the bank.
Police said the vehicle is a 2004-2102 Club Car UTV with a hydraulic dump bed, with “Manley Stickers on the right front fender” and “Mkke Meurer sticker on the left side.”
Authorities hope anyone who has seen the vehicle can help identify the suspect. They are asked to call the Maryville Police Department at (618) – 344-8899.
