South St. Louis Robbery
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com)—A 30-year-old woman was hospitalized after police say she was shot in the face during a robbery in south St. Louis early Wednesday morning.
Police said the victim was walking to her car in the 1600 block of South Spring near Lafayette around 6 a.m. when a man approached her and grabbed her purse.
According to police, the suspect then shot her in the face and fled on foot.
She was immediately taken to a St. Louis area hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s. He’s approximately 6-feet tall with dreadlocks. During the robbery, he was wearing a dark-colored jacket.
