Drunk person shot
(KMOV.com) – Police said a woman is in stable condition after being shot in north St. Louis Friday afternoon.
Police said the incident occurred between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Marcus Avenue. Authorities said the victim, a 38-year-old woman, heard several gun shots as she was leaving a bar. Police said the victim was drunk at the time of the shooting.
According to police, the victim made her way home and then went to sleep. When she woke up later in the afternoon she discovered she had been laying a pool of her own blood. Police said she realized she had been shot and was then transported to an area hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
