A Jennings officer also saw the vehicles and gave chase, but had to back off.

Around 4:30 a.m., officers came upon two accidents involving the vehicles officers had been chasing.

According to police, the 2004 Chevy Malibu stolen from the city slammed into a building at West Florissant and Mimika.
