(KMOV) – Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect who robbed a Fairview Heights gas station on Saturday.

According to police, a man armed with a black handgun walked into the Motomart in the 6100 block of N. Illinois St. around 4:30 a.m. and demanded money from the register.

He was given about $200 in cash and ordered an employee and a customer to lie on the ground.

The suspect then left the business heading east.

Police say the suspect is about 5-foot-7, between 140 and 160 pounds and has a thin build. Authorities say he had his face covered during the incident.
