(KMOV.com) – A man was killed after being dragged underneath one car and run over by another in St. Louis City.
According to police, an Asian male, around 30 years old, was seen standing at the corner of Chouteau and Grand around 2:30 a.m. on December 15. When an older, dark colored Jeep Cherokee pulled up to the eastbound stop light, the victim approached the vehicle's driver side window, according to a witness.
The witness said that the victim put his hands inside the vehicle. The driver of the Jeep slowly started driving. As the Cherokee sped up, the victim’s feet went under the vehicle. He, then, lost his grip and was run over and dragged down the road.
A second witness noticed the victim’s body in the roadway and attempted to alert other drivers to watch out. An unknown vehicle, also heading east on Chouteau, ran the victim over.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released any more information on the victim, pending notification of family.
Neither vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
