(KMOV.com) – Four departments were needed to battle a blaze in Olivette Wednesday night.

The fire started in the 10 block of Crabapple Ct. around 10 p.m.

According to Olivette Fire Chief Scott Avery, crews from Creve Coeur, University City and Ladue all assisted in fighting the fire.

Avery says when crews arrived on the scene there were flames shooting from two windows of the home.

The home sustained extensive damage due to the blaze.

Two people were inside the house when the fire broke out, but were able to make it out of the home safely.

Avery says the fire is not suspicious and there is no known cause at this time.
