(KMOV) – A High Ridge family is crediting its fire alarms for alerting them of a blaze that swept through their home late Sunday night.

Authorities said firefighters from six departments responded to the blaze in the 4490 block of Green Valley Dr. around 10:30 p.m.

They eventually got the three-alarm fire contained.

Officials said the fire started in the garage and spread to the attic of the home. They said a fire wall helped make sure it didn’t spread further.

Everyone inside the home got out safely.

The cause of the blaze was unknown.
