ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV)— Police in north St. Louis are investigating after three women were shot by a known male suspect Sunday evening.

According to reports, the incident started when 3 female victims, ages 22, 17, and 14, were walking on the 2500 block of Hodiamont at 8:25 p.m., when a fight broke out between the victims and 3 adult suspects.

Police say a male suspect allegedly pulled out a weapon and fired at the victims.  The shooter along with 2 female suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. Police say the suspects are known to the victims.

All three victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.  The 22-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach.  She is stable, but in critical condition. The 17-year-old was hit in the leg.  She is reportedly stable, but in serious condition. The 14-year-old victim is stable after being shot in the buttocks; she is listed in serious condition.

Authorities believe they have an idea on who the three suspects are but no arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
