(KMOV.com) – Many social media users may think their presence online can be masked or hidden altogether, but digital footprints aren’t that easy to cover up.

For example, News 4 talked to a local expert who showed us that within a few minutes, you can find deep details about almost any photo posted to the internet.

What may seem like a picture from an unknown source can actually be an open book, pointing investigators right to the person who took it, and proving once again there is no anonymity on the internet.
